Centre for Innovation and Technology Exploitation
Nottingham Trent University
The Centre for Innovation and Technology Exploitation (CITE) is a unique regional entity created to actively encourage uptake of innovative and emerging technologies by East Midlands’ businesses. CITE, jointly funded by the East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and NTU, and achieves this through developing a range of generic technology demonstrators, based on emerging ICT technologies that are demonstrated at regional knowledge transfer events. Interested SMEs are subsequently invited to collaborate with CITE to produce proof of concept prototypes through customisation of the demonstrators. Having minimised the risks involved with introduction of new technology, SMEs are invited to engage in collaborative development leading to generation of shared income, royalty and IPR.
