The University of Derby Career Development Centre works closely with employers to develop a tailored service to increase employer profiles with students and graduates and to bring vacancies to the attention of a wider pool of talented people. We also work in partnership with employers to make graduates more ‘work ready’. These aims are achieved through a number of initiatives, all of which are free of charge to participating employers:
- graduate vacancy advertising through Prospects Net
- online employer exhibitions and events
- meeting students on campus in a variety of settings
- building relationships with students, graduates and other employers whilst gaining personal and professional development by taking part in the Employer Mentoring Scheme
- providing volunteering opportunities enabling students to register for the ILM-endorsed University of Derby Award.
