East Midlands Centre for Respiratory Science (EMCRS)

Working together the University of Leicester and University of Nottingham are combining their internationally renowned expertise in respiratory medicine with the establishment of the East Midlands Centre for Respiratory Science (EMCRS).
EMCRS will work with businesses to support the exploitation of advances in the physical sciences to stimulate and deliver novel innovations and specialist training. The Respiratory Centre will provide access to dedicated facilities including respiratory laboratories, bronchoscopy suite and a confocal microscopy at Glenfield Hospital and live cell imaging equipment sited in Nottingham University. Plus a major new facility in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using hyperpolarised technologies.
