iNets

An iNet is a business-led innovation network that provides support to help businesses and individuals in each of the region’s key sectors to become more innovative, work together more effectively and share knowledge and expertise. Four iNets have been established in the East Midlands:

Healthcare and bioscience iNet
The healthcare and bioscience iNet helps people, businesses and universities in the sector to develop new technologies, processes, products and services to build a healthy economy. The iNet enables organisations to exchange knowledge and form collaborations to exploit new ideas. It is based at BioCity in Nottingham, a renowned life science industry of excellence.

Sustainable construction iNet
This iNet offers assistance in researching developing and implementing new services, products and processes in the construction sector, and provides access to the dedicated innovation grants. The physical home, or iHub, of this iNet will be the green technology iCon building currently under construction in Daventry, Northamptonshire.

Transport iNet
The East Midlands is home to some of the biggest names in the international transport industry. Car manufacturers, marine specialists, motorspot, aerospace and rail engineering firms are based here, creating an enviable network of innovators and thought leades that can help the region’s SMEs to thrive.

Food and drink iNet
